The southbound lanes of Interstate 385 in Greenville County were closed for two hours recently due to an early-morning auto accident that left one man dead.
The car accident happened at 12:35 a.m. on the Interstate near West Georgia Road and involved two Ford SUVs. A 56-year old woman was driving her Ford Expedition in the southbound lanes at the time of the crash. The other vehicle involved was a Ford Ranger operated by a 29-year old man.
It's unclear what caused the accident or who was at fault. According to the coroner, the man had to be extracted from the wreckage and was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver was treated at Greenville Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries. Depending on the results of the investigation into this tragic accident, the injured woman or the estate of the deceased man could require the services of a reputable Greenville County personal injury attorney. Although no amount of money will make up for the loss of a loved one, parties found responsible for automobile accidents are often required to pay for their mistakes, and rightly so.
Accidents happen for various reasons and in some cases the exact cause may never be known. However, some car accidents are the direct result of a driver's negligence or error. If you are involved in a car crash resulting from another driver's mistake, you could be entitled to compensation. Compensation may include money for your medical bills, damage to your vehicle, and for the pain and suffering that you've endured. An experienced South Carolina personal injury attorney may be able to help you obtain the monetary reparation you deserve.
